A NOTE ABOUT DISK SPACE...
In short, disk space is the storage that is allocated to you on the Christian World Hosting web servers. You can use this disk space as you please. You may use your disk space for your website and e-mail and any other files you want to store such as audio files, video files or pictures. Many of our clients even use their disk space on our servers to remotely backup important files and share pictures via the FTP user manager. The possibilities are endless.

Your average 20 page website only takes up fewer than 15 megabytes. Add pictures to that and you might have 20-30 MB usage. If you plan of making your sermons or other audio/video files available on your website, you will obviously need more space and with our Advanced and Pro packages, you should have all of the space you will ever need. Should the need arise and you require more disk space - no worries - for a small fee we can add disk space as needed.

The primary purpose of the disk storage on our server should be for your website. Therefore we strongly recommend that that you download your email to a program on your computer regularly. This prevents abuse and allows the servers to run very quickly and efficiently.

As you can see our disk space allowances are very generous. Why? It's pretty simple. Hard drives are among the cheapest resource for any web hosting company and we have plenty of storage on each Dell 2650 web server.

A NOTE ABOUT TRANSFER/BANDWIDTH...
Transfer is also known as "Bandwidth". In short transfer/bandwidth allocations are the total amount of data measured in Megabytes or Gigabytes, that may be downloaded or uploaded from a particular web hosting account during a given month.

Statistically, you can receive several thousand hits per GB (Gigabyte) of transfer. This is assuming your website does have have any Audio/Video files. If you add Audio/Video files, your transfer usage will go up. NETWORK WIDE --- the average church website only uses about 3GB of transfer per month. Transfer is something that you need not worry about, unless you plan on having very large audio/video files with thousands of visitors per day. Our dedicated network monitoring team will also give you ample warning should get close to your data transfer limit. On this rare occasion, our staff will work with you by either upgrading your package or advising of ideas to downsize your files to keep your transfer under control. Again, this is a very rare occasion.
